Luminous

A world branching from the present day world in 2025. Luminous is an extraterrestrial human polity established around a class of technologies made by a few researchers. It blossomed from a research base into a full nation quickly after conception, and disallowed any of the researched technology to exist on earth. Centuries later in part two of the story, Luminous becomes a large scale spacial alliance after it became too big to govern multiple solar systems and planets, whence it is renamed to The Luminous Ring.
